Melissa: Ehm, it’s a pretty funny story, because it started with Hans, because the video with Feuerschwanz, “Ding”, was about to reach the million plays and “Marching On Versailles” was also to reach the million plays on Youtube. What has pushed you to all these changes? Is there a peculiar reason or did you simply feel the need to test yourself in something that could revamp your creativity, your desire of creating music? Well, some thing has changed from the latest time we’ve spoken: first of all, you’ve released the acoustic version of “Chapter I: Monarchy”, then you’ve parted ways with Rage Of Light and you introduced your new band, The Dark Side Of The Moon. It’s been an year almost after our first chat.
Hi Melissa, welcome back to Femme Metal Webzine. We had the chance to exchange a very beautiful chat with this young and very promising lady about this newborn baby. Amongst all these, Ad Infinitum seemed to find its own spot: the symphonic metal band led by the talented Melissa Bonny is getting ready to unleash its fury in its brand new record, “Chapter II: Legacy”, that will be out tomorrow, October 29th 2021, via Napalm Records. The name of the band, Ad Infinitum, means again and again in the same way, or forever.2021 seemed to be a very productive year for metal bands.
She's also collaborated with the power metal band Warkings on their songs Sparta and Odin's Sons, and does covers on the Rage of Light YouTube channel of sons by other bands, such as Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth. Melissa Bonny is better known as the lead vocalist of the melodic death metal band Rage of Light. Since their inception in 2018, they've released a total of two studio albums, including Chapter I: Monarchy, (2020), and an acoustic version, Chapter I: Revisited, (2020).
Straight from the creation laboratory, Ad Infinitum is a mixture of powerful metal riffs and beautiful symphonic orchestrations. Not long after, the solo project evolved into a real band when Melissa recruited three talented musicians, Niklas Müller, Jonas Asplind and Adrian Theßenvitz. In July 2019, Ad Infinitum signed with Naplam Records. Born from Melissa Bonny's desire to create her own music through a solo project, Ad Infinitum came to life in November 2018 with the release of its first single called "I Am The Storm".
